Building 3681

Architect in Charge: Richard Kassab
Project Description:
This residential building set in the Yarze Mountains employs balconies to differentiate four stories of identical apartments. Challenging the repetition of similar floor plans, openings and terraces are positioned independently to heighten the view at each level. Like a series of drawers, the balconies extend from the volume in every direction to reach out to the natural environment. A pitched roof starts on a lower floor, integrating it into the overall structure and blurring lines to form a modern monolith.
